Sandra Kay Ransdell, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 4, 2019. She was born on July 17, 1942 in Indianapolis to Wesley and Mildred Roberts.

Sandra married Charles Ransdell on May 2, 1960 in Indianapolis. They were married 56 years until Chuck passed away on September 16, 2016.

Sandy enjoyed working in the food industry. She worked for Wendy’s, Meijer and ended her career with the Decatur Township School system as a cafeteria cook.

She was a longtime member of Valley Mills Christian Church, where she had been President of the Ladies Fellowship and a Sunday School teacher.

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Roxanna (George) Moody and Kathleen (Mark) French; and grandson, Mitchell (Chandler) French. She was preceded in death by her husband; her granddaughter, Brittani French; and her parents.

A funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9 at Valley Mills Christian Church, 5555 Kentucky Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46221. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time. She will be laid to rest, with Chuck, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
